TRACS Children's Program
Parents are always hoping for their children to be active. So they encourage them to be involved in the many recreational and competitive individual or team sports that are available indoor and outdoor. Choosing the right one for their children is always a big decision to make in the hope that they will stick to it. Some follow their friends and some are motivated by the media.
Many children get caught up with computer games and fast foods. It is a known fact that over eating and lack of exercise can lead to obesity. If children are not getting enough exercise by just sitting in front of a screen playing games or even watching television, then over a period of time they may become over weight. They may also be at risk of becoming addicted to these habits and therefore hard to break.
Education Queensland is pushing for healthier habits to fight against obesity. The other major concerns are the increase in bullying and "stranger danger" in our schools.
This is where TRACA comes to the rescue. TRACA offers TRACS which is an excellent option for the children to learn as it will help reduce both problems. Children who take up the TRACS will benefit in all these areas of their development:
It will also enhance their health, fitness, flexibility and strength.
Other sports are mainly seasonal whereas TRACS is all year round. This will provide the children with the opportunity to maintain continuous skills learning and physical training.
The aim of TRACA is to produce a respectful, trustworthy, confident and healthy student and to be a respected member of society with a common goal of taking good care of the planet and contributing to promote World Peace. Children are the Future. |
